Bill Brown

Members gone home:

Brother, Bill as we called him was one of those people you hear about that makes your life a little better having known them, than if you had not meet them. Say the name, Bill Brown to anybody that knew him and you won't have to wait long for a kindly response. Brother, Bill knew more people than you can shake a stick at or in his case more people than he could swing a paddle at, as a school teacher demonstrating the rod of correction. Brother, Bill didn't just use the rod of correction, but he also taught about the rod of correction as the adult Sunday-School teacher at Mill Baptist Church in Harriman, TN. Brother, Bill loved to go to church, tell everyone about his family and eat. To be a small framed man, Brother, Bill had a big appetite and it's a mystery where he put it all.

Not everything is known or could ever be told about Brother, Bill, but one thing is surely known by his friends, when he wanted to go you had better not get in his way because he's headed home.
As much as Brother, Bill loved his family and those around him he knew it was time to head home ( to heaven ) and once again, nothing stood in his way because this time he didn't have to hunt for his spare car keys.

In the King James Version (KJV) bible, God's word tells us what will happen to our physical body before we can enter into heaven.

1 Corinthians 15: 53-For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54-So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55-O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56-The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57-But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58-Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Brother, Bill did not labour in vain, because if you read this article then he had enough effect on your life to get you to read God's word at least once.
