Sister, Jennifer Turpin ( Carl's wife, as some would say ) is on vacation. Jennifer would sometimes be heard saying, "I need a vacation" and guess what, God granted her request.
A vacation is a place you visit to relax from the things that happen daily to you. Some people like to stay home when vacating, while some people like to travel when vacating, but Jennifer combined them and went on a trip home to Heaven.
Heaven is decribed as a far away place, but within sight according to Stephen when he was being stoned to death in Acts 7:55, But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
:56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
These scriptures lead you to believe Heaven is within your reach , if you have accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour based upon God's written word. In Luke 8:43, And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, :44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. :45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? :46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
This shows us this woman suffered in the body with health problems for many years, until she reached out and touched Jesus, (the door to heaven). The apostle, Peter when trying to walk on the water started to drown when he took his eyes off of Jesus because of worrying about the stormy waters, until he reached out with his hand shown in, Matthew 14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
The famous radio personality, Paul Harvey would say, "and here's the rest of the story". The woman with years of a health problem was healed immediately when she touched Jesus. The apostle, Peter was immediately saved from drowning, when he touched Jesus. There are lots of stories told in God's word telling us about Heaven, but there is only one way to enter in and that is through the door. To open a door you must reach out and touch it or if you're thinking in the current age of things just say,"door open". God's written word in John 10:19 “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”Jesus is the door to Heaven.
According to Sister, Jennifer's own testamony she reached out one day touching Jesus and he saved her in spirit and will revive her in a new body when he returns at the ressurection of the saints. The holy Scriptures also tells us a testamony is of no value until the person dies, because that shows everyone the person that made the testamony honored what they said. Hebrews 9:16 “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.”.
Jennifer's testimony stands true with her saying, "I'll be late for my own funeral" because a child of God has everlasting life. John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Jennifer's family said she went peacefully, so isn't that a vacation?
